How to : Run Windows programs on Linux,Ubuntu..?

Lots of people switch their Operating System from Windows to Linux/Ubuntu.. But many of them miss their favourite softwares that work only on Windows.. They are not able to use it on Linux.. There are some programs that do not work on Linux.. How do you use these programs in Linux.?

Wine is a program that allows you to run Windows programs on Linux.. It is an open source implementation of the Windows API.. Wine allows you to run Windows programs on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, Ubuntu, Fedora, FreeBSD, and Solaris.. Some of the highlights of Wine are :
