Quinghai Earthquake Imagery by GeoEye!

A powerful earthquake hit the province of Quinghai on Tuesday, April 13th causing the loss of 1700 lives. Using GeoEye, Google has captured high-resolution images to explain about the magnitude of the earthquake.

An International team, including Chinese Googlers are working over creating crisis-response pages which include the following resources :

1) The China person finder tool, helps find people who may have been affected due to the calamity. It is available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English and is also available on mobile.
2)Google News and Real time search, which includes features to post to social networking sites like twitter.
3)My Map, which enables the users to provide information about Quinghai and to provide data of the rescue efforts.
