Foursquare is a location based social networking game. Foursquare introduces a new concept of "checking-in". Checking in is updating your location status. You can check-in from a bar, restaurant, museum,park etc. By checking-in Foursquare tells you which of your friends are in the nearby locations.
Most Foursquare check-ins earns you points. If you check-in to a venue frequently, you become the mayor of that place. You also get badges for checking-into interesting place. For example, staying out late on a school night or frequenting too many karaoke bars. Some of the badges are Superstar, Local, Super Mayor and Crunked.
You also receive special rewards by being the mayor, checking in a certain number of times, or simply showing up. Rewards include half-off drinks, free admission, etc.
Foursquare is available on iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Palm and other devices.
