Firefox has released a new beta version of their browser named "Firefox Lorentz".. This version is a test build of Firefox 3.6.3.. It's designed to minimize crashes..In the previous versions of the browser, if a plugin crashes, it would cause a crash in Firefox.. But, this is no longer the case in Lorentz.. Lorentz runs the plugins in separate processes.. Hence, a crash in one of the plugins will not affect Firefox.. You will be able to reload the page to restart the plugin and try again.. It also offers the ability to send a crash report.. According to ReadWriteWeb, this seems to be similar to the working of different tabs in Google Chrome.. Read more about it here..
Lorentz is focussed on just Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime and Microsoft Silverlight plugins..We can expect the later versions to support more plugins..
You can download a copy of Firefox Lorentz here..
