The App Store is one place where you can find lots of apps for your iPhone. Some of them are free whereas some come with a price tag (you can try "jailbreaking" if you don't wanna pay). But with so many apps available, it becomes difficult to choose.

Twitter had just announced the agreement with Atebit to acquire Tweetie, a leading iPhone app, a few hours ago.. Tweetie will now be named "Twitter for iPhone" and will be offered for free in the app store (Previously Tweetie was priced at $2.99).. This is a really good news for iPhone users.. However, BlackBerry users needn't be disappointed as "Twitter for BlackBerry app" has now been launched..!

The world's most famous social networking site, Twitter, has entered into an agreement with Atebit (aka Loren Brichter) to acquire Tweetie, a leading iPhone twitter client..

According to the company, Tweetie will be named as "Twitter for iPhone"  and will be available for free in the iTunes AppStore in the coming weeks.. This is what Twitter had published on their official blog :

We're thrilled to announce that we've entered into an agreement with Atebits (aka Loren Brichter) to acquire Tweetie, a leading iPhone Twitter client. Tweetie will be renamed Twitter for iPhone and made free (currently $2.99) in the iTunes AppStore in the coming weeks.

The most famous social bookmarking site, Digg, had launched their own Official iPhone application a few weeks ago.. Just like the first version of any application will have some problem or the other, this application was not any different..

After working on some stability improvements, the iPhone app has been updated and version 1.1.0 of the app is now available in the app store.. Here are some of the fixes in 1.1.0 :


 

Kaspersky Lab has released a new version of it's mobile security software suite that is loaded with a lot of features.. Sergey Nevstruev, director of mobile services at Kaspersky Lab said that  people using smart phones use them every day to send and receive text messages, make calls, access the internet, and communicate through social networks.. Smart phones store a lot of information about our private life.. With all such private information stored in the smart phones it is necessary to keep them secure..

A security researcher at the Black Hat Conference has claimed that there exists major flaws in the Apple iPhone..Nicolas Seriot said that the Apple iPhone contains serious vulnerabilities that allows attackers and malware developers to easily create applications that can steal the user data, such as recent calls and locations..
"Overall security improves with each new iPhone version, but some basic security principles are still not correctly implemented, in particular the least-privilege principle, the deny-by-default principle and a recognition that it is dangerous for Apple to deny the existence of vulnerabilities," Seriot wrote in a paper entitled iPhone Privacy (PDF).

Its Launch is coupled with the launch of an internet store for customers to purchase the phone.


Mobile GPRS can be used to access internet through your PC.. Isn't that amazing??!! You can access the internet from your mobile without buying an internet connection.. Hmmm.. But how do you it?? It's really very easy..!! For doing this you gotta have a mobile with GPRS enabled in it and the USB modem drivers (It usually comes with the CD that comes with your mobile) for your mobile and a USB cable..

First, you have to connect the mobile to the PC and install the required drivers.. Then, next you gotta create a connection so that you can connect through the mobile GPRS.. Here's the procedure on how to do it..

1. Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Network Connections
2. Click on Create a New Connection.. You will get the following box. Click on Next.
